Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Reception Under the Tent
The 16-acre property welcomes up to 250 guests outdoors, while the main building comfortably houses 50 people indoors. A tent can be added for the ceremony or reception, and groups may also bring tents and RVs onto the grounds for additional accommodations.
A minimum stay of 3 nights applies to any wedding booking, regardless of season.
Château Venise offers the estate for rent in a private format for your wedding, but does not directly provide the following services: tent, decor, matching tableware, ceremony chairs, or in-house catering. These are handled by our trusted partner, for a turnkey experience.

Is the estate completely private for our wedding?
Yes. Château Venise is rented in a 100% private format — no other group and no other wedding shares the estate during your stay.
How many guests can we host?
Up to 250 guests outdoors and 50 people inside the main building.
Do you provide the tent, decor or catering?
Not directly. These services are handled by our trusted partner Évasion Champlain, who can coordinate tent, decor, meals, service and entertainment for a turnkey experience.
What is the minimum stay for a wedding?
A minimum of 3 nights is required for any wedding booking, regardless of season.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
How many bedrooms and beds are available for our guests?
The estate has 17 bedrooms, 17 permanent beds and 8 sofa beds, for 25 installed sleeping spaces. Two extra Queen floor mattresses with bedding and two single children’s floor mattresses without dedicated bedding may also be available on request. More than 50 hotel rooms are available nearby, including La Cache du Lac Champlain and Le Rosay Hôtel Boutique.
Can we add tents or RVs to accommodate more guests?
Yes. The grounds allow for additional tents or RVs for extra accommodations.
What does a wedding cost?
Rates are updated every year and depend on the season and number of guests. Contact us with your preferred dates and approximate guest count for our current pricing.
Is parking available on site?
Yes, free private parking is available on the estate for your entire guest list.
What happens if it rains?
The reception tent provides covered space for the ceremony and reception in case of uncertain weather — we'll talk through the plan together during planning.
Is the pool open during our stay?
Our heated outdoor pool is typically open from early June through the end of September. Since it's open to the elements, its temperature still follows the weather: on warm days the water is wonderfully comfortable, but on cooler evenings — especially early or late in the season — it can stay cold despite the heating. Bring your swimsuits and towels, and warm up by the outdoor fireplace between dips!
Are there any noise restrictions?
Outdoor quiet time begins at 11 PM, in accordance with the municipal bylaw. Activities may continue indoors while respecting the neighbourhood and indoor capacity. Outdoor speakers require written authorization, and no subwoofer is permitted.
How far are you from the Montreal, Burlington and Plattsburgh airports?
Château Venise is about a one-hour drive from Montreal-Trudeau Airport (Canada), as well as from Burlington Airport (Vermont) and Plattsburgh Airport (New York) in the United States. Guests coming from the U.S. should plan for extra time at the border crossing, which varies depending on traffic. We regularly host weddings for families from Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine and Pennsylvania.
How do we book our date?
Contact us with your preferred dates and approximate guest count. We'll send you a contract; the booking is confirmed once it's signed and a 35% deposit is paid, with the balance due 15 days before check-in.
