Our standard policy is a two-night minimum stay; certain one-off occasions may be arranged for a single night depending on availability.

Is the estate completely private for our event?
Yes. Château Venise is rented in a 100% private format — no other group shares the estate during your stay.
How many guests can we host?
Up to 250 guests outdoors and 50 people inside the main building.
Can we hold a religious ceremony or spiritual retreat on site?
Yes. Château Venise regularly welcomes religious groups. We're happy to adapt the schedule and spaces to your traditions — just tell us what you need.
What is the minimum stay?
Our standard policy is a two-night minimum stay. For certain one-off occasions, a single-night reservation may be possible depending on availability.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
How many bedrooms and beds are available?
The estate has 17 bedrooms, 17 permanent beds and 8 sofa beds, for 25 installed sleeping spaces. Two extra Queen floor mattresses with bedding and two single children’s floor mattresses without dedicated bedding may also be available on request. More than 50 hotel rooms are available nearby, including La Cache du Lac Champlain and Le Rosay Hôtel Boutique.
Do you provide decor, catering or entertainment?
Not directly. These services are handled by our trusted partner Évasion Champlain, who can coordinate catering, decor, service and entertainment for a turnkey experience.
Is parking available on site?
Yes, free private parking is available on the estate for your entire guest list.
What happens if it rains?
The large indoor common areas (4,000 sq ft) make it easy to move an activity or meal indoors in case of uncertain weather.
Is the pool open during our stay?
Our heated outdoor pool is typically open from early June through the end of September. Since it's open to the elements, its temperature still follows the weather: on warm days the water is wonderfully comfortable, but on cooler evenings — especially early or late in the season — it can stay cold despite the heating. Bring your swimsuits and towels, and warm up by the outdoor fireplace between dips!
What does a private event cost?
Rates are updated every year and depend on the season, guest count and length of stay. Contact us with your preferred dates for our current pricing.
How far are you from the Montreal, Burlington and Plattsburgh airports?
Château Venise is about a one-hour drive from Montreal-Trudeau Airport (Canada), as well as from Burlington Airport (Vermont) and Plattsburgh Airport (New York) in the United States. Guests coming from the U.S. should plan for extra time at the border crossing, which varies depending on traffic. We regularly welcome groups from Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine and Pennsylvania.
How do we book our date?
Contact us with your preferred dates and approximate guest count. We'll send you a contract; the booking is confirmed once it's signed and a 35% deposit is paid, with the balance due 15 days before check-in.
